"I have been fat all my life. Being ridiculed for my size brought me closer to my guinea pig growing up, which was the catalyst for me going vegan. She taught me compassion and love. In animal rights activism and veganism, there are a lot of negative attitudes toward fat. The fat shaming epidemic hurts our community and makes veganism less accessible."
